Stags Head is a traditional pub located in South Shields, dating back to 1897. It features two bars, with the smaller downstairs room showcasing an attractive alcove back bar. The pub is recognized on CAMRA's National Inventory of Historic Pub Interiors, retaining many original design features such as colorful entrance tilework and a wide acid-etched bay window at the front.

The upstairs area offers an additional room that includes its own ornate counter, back bar, and fireplace, making it suitable for private functions. The pub also hosts bingo and a game called Play Our Cards Right every Wednesday from 2:30 PM to 6 PM, providing a community-focused atmosphere for locals and visitors alike.
